A note on failure delayed accomplishments -

Yes, it has been four months since I’ve updated this blog. While excuses could abound here, the main fact is that my life has changed drastically since May and this blog (and taking photos in general) went way down on my increasingly long priority list. And I have to be honest here - I just didn’t have the desire. I tend to ebb and flow in photography, and the motivation to pick up my camera just hasn’t fit anywhere in my exceedingly full day. In addition, I certainly won’t be carrying around my dSLR while commuting/working/exercising, thus the majority of my picture-possible day is gone.

Cue cell phone. This blog is almost entirely cell phone/instagram shots now, and sometimes less-than-thrilling shots at that. The way I look at it, at least I’m taking a photo, albeit it on the fly, and at least I’m reintroducing this blog into my daily routine. There have been a lot of adjustments in the last few months, and this is another that simply took me a while to get to!

I’m slowly filling in the days now (with the exception of a month’s worth of unbacked-up photos gone due to losing my cell phone - still hurts to think about it), and the goal remains to have the full 365 images by year’s end. Better late than never, eh?
